As an alternative to our conventional cutting processes for “first parts” and production runs, we offer water jet cutting which is capable of cutting through a wide range of materials and thicknesses. We specialize in cutting heavy plate steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, but can use this process to cut almost any material. Water jet cutting enables one to cut any number of two-dimensional complex shapes without the need for expensive templates, fixtures, or stamping dies. Unlike laser or plasma cutting, our high-pressure water and abrasive streams cut materials without any thermal distortion. Best of all, water jet cutting leaves a satin smooth, burr-free edge on the cut material, which means it will require little or no finishing. No tooling is required, and cutting patterns can be created from prints, drawings, .dxf files, or your written specifications.
